Chris Brown performs at BET Awards after big wins

During Sunday night’s BET Awards, Chris Brown gave an excellent performance after winning the award for Best Male R&B Artist. Despite the fact that his personal life seems to overshadow his professional life, Chris Brown’s career is currently on an upswing. Chris had plenty to celebrate with his 5th album Fortune dropping on the 3rd July 2012.

Chris took the stage to deliver an energetic set with performances of “Turn Up the Music” and “Don’t Wake me Up”. There were plenty of backup dancers, neon strobe lights and music set to the backdrop of a large pyramid. Chris gave his all to the stage, shirtless and covered in metallic paint.

Chris also went home with an Award for Entertainer of the Year. He beat out artists such as Usher and Trey Songz for Best Male R&B Artist. After taking the stage, shortly after accepting his Best Male R&B Artist Trophy, Chris shocked fans by referring to Fortune as his last album.

However, that was simple a bad choice of words as we can expect more albums to come from Chris in the future. During his speech, Chris thanked fans and dedicated Fortune to his fans as he only meant that Fortune was the last album he’d recorded. Over the weekend Chris released a freestyle over the beat of Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like” single.

In the single he took a few shots of Drake whom he currently has an ongoing feud with. Last month Chris and Drake started making headlines when their entourages got into a brawl at a New York City nightclub.
