The final factor of importance identifying the need for proper selling skills is seen with the value of revenue development. Every business relies on the resources of revenue development so the elements of building consumer relationships, enhancing selling ability and efficient problem solving will all help in keeping consumers and meeting this high demand factor.

British citizen Glenn Mangham aroused the fears of Mark Zuckerberg’s staff last spring after Mangham pled guilty when he was accused of hacking into Facebook in April or May. No one thought it was terribly amusing; Facebook staffers were already afraid that hackers were after the social network’s blueprints for its software.

Mangham’s defense claimed that there was no malice in his actions – he simply wanted to work for Facebook someday. While the prosecution accepted this, they retaliated by stating that his intentions, no matter how well meaning, were still unauthorized. It didn’t help that Mangham tried to cover his tracks, which only proved, according to the court, that he had some idea that his actions might be taken somewhat amiss.

Which is exactly what Facebook did. After they noticed that someone had broken into their files, Mangham was reported to the FBI, who subsequently handed it over to police in England. After Mangham was easily tracked back to where he lives in York (with his parents; interpret that however you will), the police raided him early last summer.

At the time, Mangham claimed that he was only trying to help Facebook update its security – which, to be honest, it may have needed – citing a previous time when he helped Yahoo! under similar circumstances.

Sandip Patel, the prosecuting counsel, claimed that Mangham knew exactly what he was doing, describing his actions as being ingenious, as well as “sophisticated” and “calculating.” Furthermore, Patel claims that Mangham’s hacking attempts are the biggest and most dangerous brought before the courts at this time.

When sentenced, Mangham was told by Judge Alistair McCreath that his hacking abilities were more harmful and troublesome than perhaps the young student had considered, and that Facebook would be left to pick up potentially damaging pieces that could speak to more serious consequences down the line. McCreath urged Mangham and anyone else who might attempt to follow in his footsteps to truly attempt to understand the seriousness of what he did, as well as the costs that accrued because of his little hack job. Jail time, McCreath reported, was inevitable. It’s doubtful that Mangham will be pursuing an online masters of nursing at any time in the future … or anything else online, for that matter.

The cost to Facebook? $200,000. They were also forced to release a statement to allay any fears that user information was at all compromised by Mangham’s actions.

In that same statement, Facebook applauded the police and Mangham’s prosecution while letting readers know how seriously they take any hacker’s attempt to gain access to their site, which means that they will go to great lengths to see interlopers brought to justice, as Mangham is now finding out.

During the March 4th to 6th visit, the Taiwan Foreign Minister and his delegation will host a dinner in honour of The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis; pay courtesy calls on His Excellency the Governor General, Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian and the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister and lunch with St. Kitts and Nevis Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Sam Condor.

The Taiwan delegation will also attend the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the new St. Paul’s Day Care Center, visit the site for the Agro-Tourism Demonstration Farm and tour the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park and will also be guests at a dinner in their honour hosted by Prime Minister Douglas.

The delegation leaves St. Kitts for a three-day Official Visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines before returning to St. Kitts. The Taiwan Fo for a visit to the Agro-Processing Unit before departing the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport for Miami.

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS

Caines pleaded with Her Worship to go easy on her, struggling to contain her tears. After listening to their pleas, Her Worship gave them each a total of 16 months. They got 4 months for each account which would run concurrently meaning that they will only be in prison for 4 months.

Her Worship commented after seeing them that it was a lot of cheese for one family and she wondered if they were going to sell the cheese. Caines told Her Worship that their plan was to indeed sell the cheese as she did not have any money. The two were caught stealing at Valu Mart when a manager approached them.

The manager discovered other stolen items from C&C Super Foods and King’s Pavilion Supermarket. Some of the cheese stolen valued over $100.00.

Ms. Sonia Boddie

Kittitian Scholar Ms. Sonia Boddie has continued to distinguish herself and stand out from the crowd at the University of Birmingham in England.

The Tabernacle-born Boddie, a British Chevening Scholar, is pursuing a Masters degree in Public Administration with a special focus on Diplomacy and Statecraft.

She was recently selected as part of an elite eight-member student delegation (the first of its kind) that represented her University, at the 58th annual Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN), held in Boston, Massachusetts from February 16th -19th.

The Harvard National Model United Nations is the largest, oldest and most prestigious of its kind and brings together over 3,000 students from around the world to engage in similar debates to those held at the United Nations.

Students are assigned to various, committees with different topics and assigned a country and are required to maintain the country’s foreign policy, meanwhile finding resolutions to pressing issues affecting the international community. The annual event is aimed at equipping students with skills in diplomacy, researching, negotiating and public speaking.

Asked about the selection process, for the event, Ms. Boddie noted it was “very competitive” and highlighted that because of the number and caliber of students interested in participating.

“Students had to participate in a two stage selection process, which firstly involved writing a 1000 word policy paper on the topic ‘Does the UN Security Council need reform?’

“In my paper, I emphasized that the composition of the UN Security Council represented a bygone era and needed reform to reflect the current geopolitical landscape. I noted that from the policy papers ten students were shortlisted for interviews and 8 were eventually selected,” said Ms. Boddie, who further remarked that in light of the intense competition for places, she was overwhelmed and humbled at her section, but was indeed happy that her hard work paid dividends.

Speaking about the event, Boddie noted it was an absolutely amazing experience.

“It not only gave me an opportunity to be an ambassador for the University, and the country assigned which was Liberia, but it also afforded me the proud honour to be an Ambassador for the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis,” Boddie told the Communications Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister (CUOPM) by telephone.

She said she was delighted to wear and display the National Dress of St. Kitts and Nevis at the cultural cocktail event, which allowed participants to represent their respective countries.

“That event gave me an insight as to the challenges faced by countries, especially small ones, in getting their voices heard in such a big forum, and the intense negotiations needed before resolutions are passed,” said Boddie.

Boddie further noted that she was assigned to the Legal Committee and the topic discussed in that committee was the Revision of the Geneva Convention in the Role of War.

“This conference certainly gave me new ideas as to how to become a much more eloquent public speaker and certainly equipped me with new strategies in diplomacy and negotiation,” said Boddie who also mentioned that she was particularly grateful for the doors of networking that the conference opened to her and the friendships she has now built with future world leaders.

When asked about what advice she would give to the young people, Boddie remarked, “The world is your oyster. You have to be prepared to think not only outside the box, but above and beyond the box. There are many opportunities that await us, but we must be prepared to be diligent and confident and put in the necessary work that is required to reap success.”

Amazon’s Kindle and Barnes & Noble’s Nook are two of the most popular e-readers in the market. These two are to blame for what others call the “e-book revolution”. Kindle started it in 2007, where the device got sold out amazingly quick and stood that way for several months. The Nook followed and gained success for its competent hardware and software.

The Kindle’s biggest advantage is its Amazon logo. The internet is a sea of Amazon products and services due in part of their affiliate program. A huge chunk of bloggers use this program to make money off their blog. And this is how the Kindle craze started off. Blogs wrote tons of Kindle articles that impacted the search volume for the device. The result: Kindle sold out in five and half hours and remains that way for five months.

The Nook’s weapon is their huge library of books. This is not surprising as Barnes & Noble is primarily a bookstore. They realized quickly that people are going away from paperbacks and favoring electronic books. That realization was of course fueled by the huge demand for the Kindle. The Nook was released with some extra features that the Kindle did not have at that time. The Nook vs Kindle wars have begun.

Years passed and several Kindle and Nook models came out, each one seemingly trying to top the competition. But there was a thing that is becoming a bigger factor as time goes by: money. Amazon was not only an e-reader store; it is a massive online store. They have all the money to keep on improving the Kindle. Even though the Nook is selling well, it is barely enough to keep the bookstore running.

The Kindle Fire is the testament to Amazon’s booming finances. They managed to sell the device for only $199 even though it takes $201.70 to create it. Meanwhile the Nook Tablet, the device that is supposed to counter the Fire, is sold at $249. Why wouldn’t Barnes & Noble match the Kindle Fire’s price? It’s because they simply can’t.

Amazon can also manage the Fire’s price because of their online store. They can offer lots of digital content beyond books to users and made lots of money through them. Barnes & Noble haven’t reached that level yet. And if the rumors are true about a Nook spin-off, then the company might never go the road that Amazon is traveling.

But knowing who makes the most money doesn’t concern the user. However, it can affect the sales of the device. Most of us praise a product not only based from our own perspective but also from the perspective of other people. Part of the reason why we would buy the Kindle Fire is because a lot of people are buying it.

In fact, the Nook Tablet is better than the Fire performance wise. It has a better processor, better RAM and it contains some features not present on the Kindle Fire (the microphone for example). But we would not buy it because of some reasons. One of them is because it is not from Amazon.

So who comes out on the top? Try them then out and know the answer for yourself.

The crowd booed when that happened and Adele flipped the middle finger. Adele said that her flipping the middle finger was for the suits and not her fans. Backstage Adele said she was about to thank the British public for all their support but they cut her off.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is well known for its S-AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which provides great display quality for all manner of multimedia products. Every year for the past couple of years, smartphones have got progressively more powerful when it comes to the processors they include. The Samsung Galaxy S2 has a very capable 1.2 GHz dual-core processor which means that it provides excellent performance from hardware like the responsiveness of the touchscreen, to software like its ability to run multiple apps simultaneously without jeopardising their performance. With the Galaxy S3, it has been rumoured that a quad-core processor will be included. The clock speed is still unclear but it is likely that it will be either 1.2 GHz or 1.5 GHz. This essentially means that performance and speeds will double what the Galaxy S2 is capable of. Therefore, you can look forward to lightning fast response times from the touchscreen, faster loading and operating times of applications and more efficient multitasking, as well as more benefits like the ability to display richer graphics making it ideal for watching movies or gaming on the phone.

Operating System
With the release of the new version of Android (v4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich), we can expect a very different interface from the Galaxy S3. There is a long list of features which make it an appealing platform with notable upgrades including the ability to unlock the phone using face recognition in conjunction with the front facing camera. The Galaxy S2 will support this software via an update but it is unclear just how many of the features will be compatible. The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be optimised to take full advantage of the new software so you will be able to make the most of all the new features.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 was one of the most popular smartphones of 2011, and this looks set to continue well into 2012. It is one of the biggest competitors to the iPhone 4S so Samsung certainly know what they are doing. If you are a tech enthusiast or prefer to own the latest smartphone technology you may want to wait until the Galaxy S3 is released. Either way, both are great smartphones and you will surely be happy with whatever you choose. Your decision will probably come down to how important you feel it is to own the most up to date technology.

Regardless of your thumb’s size you will be able to easily navigate the phone’s track pad.

You will also notice the phone’s distinctive metallic aluminum frame. The very same design is being used by other mobile manufacturers.
