Unemployment falls to lowest level in three years

Unemployment Falls To A New LowGermany is seeing a 20-year low in unemployment, while on the opposite end of the spectrum Spain is seeing its highest numbers of people who are without work during this same time frame. The unevenness of the European job market, however, is offset by the fact that the USA is enjoying its lowest rate of unemployment in three years. As a result, many Americans are interpreting this as a good sign that it may be possible to sustain this recovery
Employees re-entering the workforce may be surprised at how much has changed since they left. This can be especially true in the area of Human Resources. Tasks that were once time-consuming, taking up a good part of an HR worker’s day, have now been automated by online payroll software services like Paycor. This allows HR workers more time to devote to finding new ways to choose the best candidates for available positions.

In fact, this may be the first thing new employees notice when they return for your re-entry processing. Even if they don’t have to go through a formal application process or interview in order to return to your previous position or a different one within the same company, they may still be aware of how payroll operations have changed as well as how they interact with HR, both during the re-hiring process and afterward.

If they are returning to the workforce with another organization, whether it’s doing the same thing they did before or something completely different, the changes brought about by the use of new HR technology may be readily apparent. Perhaps the new employees noticed something was different in the recruiting and hiring process—the recruiter contacted them through LinkedIn or they realized the HR manager did an excellent job in researching their personal background– making them thankful they used your period of unemployment to do more than just look for work.

In today’s fast-changing business landscape, jobseekers must stay on top of what is happening in their field of expertise. And they must take the initiative and receive training in another area to improve their marketability.

As mentioned earlier, many observers view recent economic recovery signs in America to be sustainable. However, jobseekers can’t afford to “rest on their laurels” just because they have been fortunate enough to re-enter the workforce. A willingness to embrace change and welcome new technology are prerequisites for future success in today’s constantly changing business world.
