Two persons charged for the murder of Elvis Stanley

Two persons charged for the murder of Elvis StanleyJoseph “Galvanize” Hazel and Keston Martin have both been charge with the murder of Elvis Stanley. Hazel who is of Bird Rock and Martin of Parsons Village were officially charged with the murder on Thursday. Just two days after the murder of Stanley both Hazel and Martin were picked up by police on suspicion of murder.

On the 26th January 2012 while driving along the Frigate Bay Road Strip Elvis Stanley was shot and killed. Stanley’s girlfriend was also shot and so was his teenage son, before getting away to call for help. On Wednesday, Forensic Pathologist Dr. Stephen Jones concluded that death was due to gunshot injuries to the chest with hemorraghe and shock.

Earlier Clayton “Massive” Thomas denied his innocence in any part of a plot to murder Stanley his fellow business compettion. Thomas also denied ordering a hit on Stanley and said that he is in no way connected to the murder. Both Hazel and Martin are facing additional charges for wounding Stanley’s girlfriend and his son.

This is the 2nd time Hazel has been charged with murder as he was found guilty of murder in 2004 with regards to a January shooting in 2000. Hazel was then sentenced to hang but his conviction was overturned by the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal.
