After a catastrophic accident in Choiseul, St. Lucia on Thursday 10th September, seventeen (17) people have been confirmed dead.

This accident has been recorded as one of the worst vehicular accident ever in the history of St. Lucia according to thevoiveslu.com. Authorities in St Lucia say that the minibus was carrying persons who attended a wake earlier that evening in the community Delcer in Choisuel.

The 47 year old bus driver Michael Alexander missed a curve, lost control of the vehicle and plunged over a cliff which is approximately 50 ft in dept.

All persons dead were from the Fond-Lor district in the village of Micoud.

All political and social events that were scheduled for this weekend were cancelled.
