If you are a proud owner of Apple’s latest jewel the iPhone 5, then I bear good news. Yes, I know that you have been waiting for it, but be patient and you will soon receive your new 30-PIN adapter and it will happen this month. Apple started to notify their first customers who placed their orders for the Lightning to 30-PIN adapter. According to MacRumors, the orders are now en route and it is coming to you real soon.
There are people who told MacRumors about their 30-PIN adapter orders. Some of them said that thei new adapter will arrive on the 9th of October (wait a minute! That is today!). The customer who is expecting his/her new adapter placed his/her order the day after the new iPhone 5 was unveiled to the world (such an early bird).
Meanwhile, back in the US of A, people are still waiting for their shipment confirmation. Some said that they have seen the status of their order to “processing”. I think that is good news. Yes, the new iPhone 5 came in with a different adapter. This simply makes the old adapters for the iPhone 4S and older iPhones useless. Apple was quoted saying that their new adapter is best for their new iDevices and it is reversible. Basically you can’t go wrong with this one.
Yes this new adapter for the iPhone 5 surprised loyal Apple iDevices owners. Imagine them going into shock after buying expensive charging docs, speaker docs, etc. and then not being able to use all of that for their new iPhone 5? Wow! I am speechless.
But the thing is, you can’t do anything about it now. It’s either you stick with your old iPhone 4S or upgrade to the new iPhone 5 and get the new Lightning to 30-PIN adapter. The Lightning to 30-PIN adapter goes for $29. There is also the other adapter Lightning to 30-PIN adapter (0.2m) at $39. Both of these are compatible with the iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th generation and the iPod Nano 7th generation.
