It’s only a matter of weeks before HTC’s special press conference (yes, a week earlier than the MWC 2013 event). As early as now, the Taiwanese phone maker is saying that they will be offering a “new sound and camera experience” for their new devices this year.
Yes, yesterday, HTC posted an official blog and also showed a teaser that basically describes their up and coming flagship device, the M7.
They also released a somewhat entertaining infographic entitled “A Brief History of Photography”. This infographic pokes fun not only at our quick and easy photography culture but also at Apple and Nokia.
The said infographic appears to be suggesting that the company’s next device will go beyond higher-res imaging capture and that it could also feature something like increased image sensor size. You will also see the iPhone 4S and its lack of increased sensor (despite of its famous megapixel capabilities).
In addition, HTC is also said to be focusing heavily on their Android powered devices. Now, their new flagship device is not going to be powered by Windows Phone OS. This is even if the company recently shipped its HTC 8X.
Of course, the press is invited to their event in New York (with a simulcast event in London) on the 19th. Unfortunately, we don’t have that much information about the said press event, but the company is expected to unveil the much-talked about HTC M7.
According to the famous @EVleaks, HTC might launch two more new handsets during the MWC 2013 event in Barcelona. The devices were hidden under the codenames HTC M4 and HTC G2. Many sources say that these new handsets are unlikely to launch with the M7.
Meanwhile, the M4 is said to be powered by a dual-core processor with a speed rate of 1.2GHz, a 4.3” display with 720p resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16GB memory, and will run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.
