HTC’s trademark application for the name “Fetch”

The Taiwanese phone maker is trying to register a trademark for the word/name “Fetch” for their latest device that will track down lost tech and even locate people.   htc-fetch-480x275

HTC (the maker of the HTC One) has been suffering from financial problems after losing money for consecutive quarters, nobody is expecting the company to diversify things and actually get back into the game with this new spy tech.

HTC in its filing with the US Patent & Trademark Office, called their patent application as a “Portable multifunction electronic tracking device for assistance in locating mobile phones, smartphones…. Tablets… PCs.”

This patent sounds just like Apple’s Find my iPhone tool. However, HTC’s Fetch will also “assist users in tracking people.”
