What are the rumors saying?
Everybody expected the iPhone released last October, 2011 to be the iPhone 5. However, Apple gave us the iPhone 4S instead. Rumors are that at the next annual conference of Apple, which is supposed to be held this June, the iPhone 5 features and configurations will be announced. Like the previous 4S, it also may come out in October this year. It just might be the 15th of October as well! The iPhone 5 is believed to be the last iPhone project approved by Steve Jobs.
iPhone features:
Dual core processors are nothing new for smartphones now days, especially when other smartphone brands like Samsung are using an A5 processor. However, Apple is always one-step ahead. Their last iPhone, the iPhone 4S, features an A5 processor. So rumors are circling saying that A6 is on the way, therefore the iPhone 5 may be equipped with something as good as a quad core processor!
Appearance:
For a buyer, the aesthetics of a phone are crucial. This is why so many people are speculating about what the changes the iPhone 5 will get in its overall look. The first major change might be the display. Many sources are claiming that the Apple iPhone 5 will come with a bigger, attractive, 4-inch display with a curved glass screen. With the increase in the user interface size, the resolution would be stronger so users may have a better visual experience. The guess is that Apple will be using liquid metal technology to provide users with a never-before-seen experience. This may mean a lighter, thinner and more durable version with a better touch screen and more vivid colors.

As 4G LTE is already available it would only be logical that the iPhone 5 will be 4G LTE capable. One striking rumor is that there might not be a home button on the new iPhone 5. This is because Apple is trying to improve gesture-based control; the iPhone 5 could quite possibly have this enhanced gesture control. There may also be a leap from 16GB of storage to 64GB.
Camera:
Rumors say that the camera might not be changed at all, as the previous 8 megapixel one is doing great. However, photos have been surfacing of new features in between the camera and the light. Guesses are, it is a microphone for audio recording during video.

Evidence of a new dock connector has also been circulating. Stunning information about the new iPhone is that it might be fireproof. Halogen free flame retardant material could be included with this, so that nobody needs to worry about their precious iPhone catching fire!
Ok, take a deep breath. Imagine charging your phone without a cable! Yes, rumors say this dream might become a reality. Inductive wireless charging technology, if incorporated with this phone, would allow for wireless charging. The new iPhone might also have NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. This will definitely make waves since NFC is what allows data exchange between phones by just simply holding them within a couple of centimeters from each other.
Lots of rumors, lots of probability, and unique options are being guessed by people all over the world. But when will this magic phone come? The safest guess is late 2012, but nobody knows. We can only guess, only wait.
