iPhone 5’s Arrival Made Apple Stores To Offer Price Match?

With the anticipated arrival of the new iPhone (dubbed as the iPhone 5), Apple reportedly given their go signal to their accredited retail stores. The signal is for them to apply price match for older iPhones in the likes of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

Sprint is now offering their iPhone 4 for as low as $49.99 and their iPhone 4S for as low as $149.99 on a two-year contract. With this, customers can actually get as much as $50 savings. On top of the said Sprint deal, they are also waiving their activation fee for the said iPhone models.

But if this is all true, how come other retailers are not honoring the said deals? In addition, if this is indeed true, then Apple’s sales can now make a huge comeback in preparation for the release of the latest iPhone.
