Apple is rumoured to call its new iPhone the iPhone 5S. Sadly, we haven’t seen leaks, giving us an idea on what the phone will look like. Despite not having photos of the next iPhone, an analyst thinks that the iPhone 5S will look similar to the iPhone 5.
According to Business Insider, Morgan Stanley analyst, Katy Huberty, thinks the iPhone 5S will look like the iPhone 5. In her report on the gross margins of Apple, she says, “Lower planned purchases of production equipment sets up for higher iPhone 5S margin. The 10-Q discloses $904M of commitments for equipment purchases compare to $4.5B just two quarters ago when Apple invested in new in-cell touch displays for the iPhone 5. The decrease is likely due to iPhone 5S not requiring significant hardware changes, therefore iPhone GM could be much higher in C2H13.”
Although Apple is yet to reveal any information on its next iPhone, it is possible the iPhone 5S will look like the iPhone 5. When Apple launched the iPhone 4S, everyone expected the Cupertino firm to launch complete revamp of the iPhone 4. Instead, it launched a handset that looks exactly like its predecessor. So it might just do the same with the iPhone 5S.
Aside from the iPhone 5S looking like the iPhone 5, Apple is also said to be working on a budget iPhone. It is said to have a casing made of plastic, making it more affordable. Leaked images of the handset surfaced on iLounge.
