Samsung’s latest flagship device the Galaxy S3 advances to the latest Android 4.1.2 OS the Jelly Bean. This was followed by the Jelly Bean OS update for the International variant of the HTC One X. Meanwhile, in the US, the latest Android Jelly Bean update for AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 version came. It is then joined by Sprint and T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S3 versions. Sadly for Verizon Wireless Samsung Galaxy S3 owners, their devices remain running the Ice Cream Sandwich Android OS. In addition, there is no word yet regarding the Android 4.1 release for Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S3 variant.
The international unlocked variant of the Samsung Galaxy S3 are also enjoying the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. With this, they get to enjoy advanced features of the Android 4.1.2 and this is all because of the phone’s TouchWiz user interface. Luckily, this update is available in some parts of Europe. The OTA update is expected to land in more countries soon (including the US).
It is quite safe to say that AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint will also be receiving the advanced TouchWiz UI features first. Then this will be followed by Verizon and US Cellular (both Galaxy S3 variants are still using the Ice Cream Sandwich Android platform).
The HTC One X (unlocked variant) finally received its much awaited Jelly Bean OS update. The former HTC flagship is the second HTC device with the Jelly Bean OS. The said update arrived in several Asian countries with this variant including Hong Kong, Singapore, and Philippines. The new Android Jelly Bean OS brings a couple of new features to the HTC One X including includes battery improvements, improved on-screen keyboard, bug fixes, and all new Android 4.1 features.
