Leaked Verizon HTC 8X and Nokia Lumia 822 pricing and release date

If you area big Nokia and Windows Phone 8 plan and you want them under your carrier Verizon, then I am so sorry to disappoint you but the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 are not landing on the said carrier. But don’t let this ruin your dream of owning the latest Windows Phone 8 device. Why? This is because the HTC 8X and the Verizon variant of the Lumia 820 (the Lumia 822) will be available to you.

Yes, AT&T is the exclusive carrier for the Nokia Lumia 920 but its HTC flagship counterpart will be available under your carrier. There is actually not much of a difference between Nokia’s flagship and HTC’s flagship Windows Phone 8 device. There may be the difference in the phones’ screen size (Nokia Lumia 920 is at 4.5” and the HTC 8X is at 4.3”) but it is not really that big. The phones’ screen resolution is also not that far from each other with the Lumia 920 at 768 x 128 pixels and the 8X is at 720x 1280 pixels.

Basically the only thing that you will miss on the HTC 8X is Nokia’s PureView imaging technology. That’s basically about it. The two are actually identical in designs (even if they so not agree with me). But the pictures flooding the internet are enough proof to back me up with my finding.

The HTC 8X will be available in the following colours: Black, Blue, and Red. The Nokia Lumia 822 will be available in the following colours: Black, Grey, and White. The HTC 8X is priced at $199.99 on a contract while the Nokia Lumia 822 is priced at $99.99 on a contract. Both of these phones are landing on Verizon on the 12th of November as the leaked Verizon file suggests.

You might be a little misinformed. Best Buy is currently selling the HTC 8x for 99 dollars on contract. The Lumia 920 is also a much more premium phone compared to the 8x, including wireless charging, Near Field Communication, a screen that can be used with just about anything (gloves, wrags, pens, silverware, etc), the highest refresh rate for any phone and clear black tech in the screen. Then there’s the exclusives like Nokia music (pretty much Spotify without a monthly payment), then the camera. The 8x is more comparable to the Lumia 820
