Last March 14th, we saw the arrival of the latest Samsung Galaxy S member, the Galaxy S4. It is barely two weeks after that and here comes another rumour about the company launching the mini version of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
If you remember it, Samsung also released the mini version of the Galaxy S3 last year. So with the company rumoured to do the same with their latest flagship, it is nothing but expected.
According to news reports, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will arrive with a 4.3” Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960p and a 256ppi for its pixel density (not bad if you compare it with the S4’s 5” display and 441ppi pixel density). This is also bigger than the iPhone 5.
When specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is not that bad at all. It is said to land with a dual-core processor clocking in at 1.66GHz and it is said to land with the latest Android iteration the Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Design wise, this new rumoured Samsung device will look just like its bigger sibling and will land with the same thin bezel and rounded corners.
The new Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is expected to arrive June or July of this year. However, there is still no official pricing for this new phone, but we can all expect it to be cheaper than the Galaxy S4.
Carphone Warehouse’s recent study showed that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the most pre-ordered device ever. This record also tops its predecessor the Galaxy S3, it sold 40 million units worldwide. The Galaxy S4 Mini may never top the record of its older sibling, but I am sure that it will somehow help the company’s sales just like the Galaxy S3 Mini.
