HTC’s latest device has been spotted in Las Vegas during the CES 2013 event. The HTC One SV (successor of the HTC One S) is Cricket Wireless’ newest Android flagship device. According to people who were able to tinker with the device, it looks like it has no compromises at all.
The HTC One SV comes in with a bright red
body. It is also packed with 4.3” Super LCD 2 display and boasts 800x480pixels screen resolution.
The One SV’s build and feel is said to stand out in Cricket’s current lineup (composed of mostly budget-friendly devices). The solid plastic and its luxurious edges of this device can be easily compared with the mighty Samsung Galaxy S3.
You will also get a 5MP rear-facing and 1.6MP front-facing cameras on this device. The One SV’s camera is also capable of giving you high-end features in the likes of: fast focus, video stabilization, burst shooting.
The phone is packed with 8GB worth of on-board memory and this is upgradable via the phone’s memory card slot. Please note that the phone’s battery is removable (unlike other HTC devices). The phone is shipped with Android 4.0 as its OS and is backed up by 1.2GHz dual-core processor (speed for less).
The phone’s main attraction is its build. With its matte polycarbonate casing, this red bright device truly stands out. This is refreshing and lively (compared to other similar budget-friendly Android devices).
If the HTC One SV performs well, this could potentially help the ailing Taiwanese company for Q1. The One SV will go on sale starting the 16th of this month in the US for only $349.
Meanwhile in the UK, the HTC One SV is available via the following UK carriers: O2; Orange; Vodafone; and T-Mobile.
