Samsung recently unveiled its newest chip set the Exynos 5 Octa during the recently concluded CES 2013 event in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Korean Tech giant may not have specified as to which device will sport this new and powerful chip set but still, it will get you all excited knowing that the company will soon unveil the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy S4.
It was earlier rumoured that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be the very-first Samsung device to land with the Octa-core chipset, but (a big one) The Korea Times begs to differ.
Now, according to the said publication, Chinese phone makers Huawei and ZTE will be the first ones to use Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa-core chipset. In addition, we will be seeing devices from the two bearing the said chipset this year.
Again, only Huawei and ZTE is said to be releasing devices bearing the said chipset for now. This will only give the two Chinese companies an edge against other smartphone makers (well except Samsung of course) and more market shares. And yes, the two companies did confirm that they will be using the Exynos 5 Octa chipsets on their up and coming devices, but they did not elaborate more on their deal with the Korean tech giant.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is said to host a bigger display screen at 6.3”. This will only erase the current need for small tablets (7” tablets). Why? Well, for one, this is not your average tablet, this happens to be a mobile phone as well. So why buy a tablet and carry a separate phone when you can have this?
We may know little about the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4 now, but it is only a couple of weeks more until the Mobile World Congress 2013 commences. Let’s all wait and see which rumours are true and which rumours are false.
