It seems the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, the Korean tech giant’s answer to the Apple iPad Mini, will be landing in UK shops in April, if a landing page is to be believed. However, you’ll be disappointed to know that the tablet will be more expensive than Apple’s mini tablet, if another product page is to be believed.
The pages were first seen by unwired view. According to the site, “Officially announced by Samsung last month at MWC 2013, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is seemingly going to be available in the UK starting April. At least that’s what Carphone Warehouse suggests.
“CPW does not say how much it will charge for the Note 8.0. However, Handtec (another British retailer) has priced the tablet at £371.99 (about $564) – and it’ll probably have it in stock starting April as well.”
If you noticed, the Galaxy Note 8.0’s price tags are more expensive than the iPad Mini. This is strange since we’re sure Samsung is well aware that Apple was criticised for making the iPad Mini too expensive. It costs £269. With these price tags, you might be better off buying the Google Nexus 7 instead, which will only set you back £159. Despite its highly affordable price tag, it has just about the same specs as Samsung’s 8-inch tablet.
