A market analyst recently claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S4 may be released this February. It was Doug Freedman of RBC Capital market who said that Samsung’s roadmap for 2013 may possibly include the release of Samsung Galaxy S3’s successor the Galaxy S4. So why the sudden change of heart for Samsung? Maybe it’s because of the rumoured iPad mini launch this February.
Yes, recently rumours are suggesting that Apple may release the iPhone 6 and iPad mini this February and so many are speculating that Samsung is pushing for an early release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 (one of them is IBTimes).
The Korea Times also claims to have been made privy to a very important and juicy Samsung Galaxy S4 specifications leak. According to them, the Galaxy S4 will come with a 5” Super LCD 3 display with 1,920 x 1080p resolution paired with 445 ppi and is protected by the ever tough Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
Some rumours suggest that this next Samsung flagship will come with a 13MP rear-facing shutter and the phone is actually powered by a Cortex-A15 quad-core processor (clocking in at 2GHz) and is paired with 2GB worth of RAM.
Freedman also said that the Samsung Galaxy S4 could come out by February or March. The handset may be revealed during the Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC) in Barcelona Spain.
Freedman is the fourth analyst to speculate a February Mobile World Congress 2013 release for the Samsung Galaxy S4. In addition, his note came soon after the Korea Times reiterated that the MWC 2013 is most likely the venue for Samsung’s Galaxy S4 announcement.
An official spoke with the Korea Times on condition of anonymity and said: “Samsung is ready to unveil the next Galaxy smartphone, the Galaxy S4, at early next year’s mobile world congress (MWC) in the Spanish City of Barcelona”.
