The Twitter account @evleaks has leaked yet another handset. It previously leaked the Google Nexus 4. A few days back, it leaked the HTC Deluxe, which sports a 5-inch touchscreen and is the European version of the HTC Droid DNA. Now, it has leaked another handset, the ZTE Grand X Pro.
Unfortunately, this leak doesn’t have that many details to reveal. In fact, all the Twitter account reveals is a photo of the handset. Although only a photo is revealed, this hasn’t stopped us from making guesses.
Based on the handset’s name, it’s likely the Grand X Pro will be the successor of the Grand X, which was released by ZTE back in July of this year. Unfortunately, it failed to gain any ground in the smartphone market due to the popularity of Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The Grand X sports a 4.3-inch screen. Based on the photo posted by @evleaks, we’re guessing the Grand X Pro will sport a touchscreen around 5 inches or a little bit less. We’re also guessing that the ‘Pro’ in the handset’s name hints more powerful hardware.
When hardware comes to mind, it’s likely the rumoured smartphone sports at least a 1.5GHz dual-core processor or even a quad-core offering. Its predecessor only packed a 1GHz dual-core processor.
The Grand X runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) right off the bat. So we’re guessing the Grand X Pro will run Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). We’d actually be surprised if it didn’t.
The Grand X wasn’t a hit compared to other Android handsets. However, the handset was notably cheap, which is a good thing in our book. We’re hoping the Grand X Pro will be as cheap as the Google Nexus 4, which is a bargain at only £240 via Google Play considering the handset sports a quad-core processor and an HD display.
